*Folders went home today(10/25) for both classes. Please sign and return in the morning (10/26).
*Report cards need to be signed and returned Tuesday, October 26th. If you have not received your child's report card please check with the main office.


*** The Fall Festival will be Thursday, October 28th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. We will be doing WHEEL OF FORTUNE!!! Please send a note or e-mail if you can work a 30 minute shift. We would like to have two parents for each time slot. 
6:00 - 6:30 - Pam Benton

7:00 - 7:30 - Holley Davis
7:30 - 8:00 - Janan Hussey


***We will have our Halloween party on Friday, October 29th at 12:00. Each student needs to bring $2.25 for PIZZA! (In cash, please!!) Other items are:

Cookies: Cameron Rodgers
Other Sweets: Douglas Topolse
Chips: Mallory Clifton, Emmy Stevens, Dekota Lasseter, Caroline Bish 
Dip: Tristen Carter, Brock Davis, Nikki Huett, Trey Benton
Drinks: Kaylee Ferarro, Nathan Holloway, Cassidy Garrett, Jackson Thomas 
(You may send clear, caffeine free sodas in cans - like Sprite, 7-UP, Sierra Mist, etc.)

Next Week Reminders

Welcome back from Fall Break and to a new Nine Weeks!! Report cards will be sent in the mail on Oct. 21 but I still need 4 self-addressed, stamped envelopes for these students: Tristen, Mallory, Emmy, and Ashelyn


Upcoming Events
Don't Forget - This Friday is "Lasso Lee-Scott" and everyone where cowboy/girl attire!

The PLAS Annual Fall Festival will be on Thursday, October 28th from 6 to 8 pm!! Concessions will be available. Admission is $2.00 and tickets are sold $5.00 for a strip of 10. Please send a note or e-mail if you can work a 30 minute shift. We will be doing WHEEL OF FORTUNE!!!

We will have our Halloween party on Friday, October 29th. Next week we will ask for volunteers to bring treats and snacks and I will post them then.

Next week is drug awareness week.
Dress will be as follows:
Monday: Red Ribbon Day. Wear red, ribbons will be provided.
Tuesday: Hats off to Good Choices. Wear favorite hat.
Wednesday: Sock it to Drugs! Students should wear crazy socks.
Thursday: Join the Fight Against Drugs. Wear camouflage.
Friday: "Don't be scared to say NO!" Everyone wear an appropriate Halloween costume.

Reminders 10/05

  • Both folders will be sent home (10/5) and will need to be signed and returned Wednesday morning(10/6).
  • FALL BREAK will be next week!!!!!!!! :)
  • Friday (10/8) ends our 1st 9 weeks grading period. This is also the last day for students to take AR tests. We still have a few students that need to make their goal.
  • Students are to dress like their favorite cheerleader or football player Friday. GO PIKE!!!!
  • Money & orders for the GIFT WRAP sales needed to be turned in by Friday(10/8).
  • We are working on a unit on letters in language it is very important for everyone to know their address!!

Folder Reminders:
  • YOUR CHILD SHOULD BRING HOME 2 FOLDERS FOR YOU TODAY (9/20) TO SIGN & RETURN IN THE MORNING(9/21).
  • Progress Reports went home today(9/20).
  • Grandparents Day will be Friday at 9:30. There is a note about this in the folder that needs to be filled out and returned in the folder.- There was a typo on the note that was sent home - Grandparent's day is at 9:30.
  • Gift Wrap sales start today.
Also, The fourth grade will be doing novel studies for reading for the next 3 weeks. Mrs. Barron's class will be reading Charlotte's Web and my class will be reading A Bear Called Paddington. They were issued books from the library today that they may take home, however every student must have their book in class everyday. We will be using them everyday!!! There are several vocab words for these books but most of them are words they are familiar with, you are only responsible for learning the vocab for the story you are reading in your class.

Also, even though tomorrow is a very fun day, we still have to take our Spelling and Reading Tests and VOCAB Quiz. Remember - the faster everyone comes in and gets to work, the faster we will be done and can get ready for the parade.
