• Friday has been declared “Black Out Autauga”. Please dress in black on Friday.
• Admission tickets for the playoff games will be available starting next Monday.

Fall Festival

1st Nine Weeks Folder

I passed out the 1st nine weeks folder today, please keep the papers inside and return the envelope tomorrow signed. Thanks!

• Cookie Dough Sales are going on - the money is due November 05.
• Sports Boosters are selling Play-Off T-shirts for $16.00. Paid orders will be accepted through Thursday, Oct. 30th. Order forms are in your weekly folder.

Pied Pipers

The Pied Pipers will be at PLAS on December 3rd. Please bring $2.00 as the Pied Pipers now charge a small fee for their performances and travel. I know they will love it! Thanks!

Food Jars!

If you have any used glass food jars (any size - pickles, spaghetti sauce, baby food, etc.) that you do not need please send them to school... I have a very fun project that we can do for Halloween! (so I will need 20) THANKS!

Fall Festival - Oct. 30

I need parent volunteers to work 30 min. shifts for the Fall Festival on Thursday October 30., it starts at 6:00pm. Please let me know ASAP when you can work: (e-mail or send a note)
6:00 - 6:30
6:30 - 7:00
7:00 - 7:30
7:30 - 8:00

Also, you all need to send some prizes for our Softball Throw Booth. Thanks!

2nd Nine Weeks!!

I hope everyone's fall break was great! I can't believe that the first nine weeks is already over... time flies when your having fun! :)

Remember this is Red Ribbon Week so we have some dress up days. Also, we are starting our new circles this week - they will be a little more structured and I think it will work well!

The Fall Festival will be October 30 - and as soon as I know more about it, I will let you know!

FALL BREAK AND RED RIBBON WEEK!

Next week (October 13 - 17) is FALL BREAK!!! YEA! See you on Monday October 20!

The following week (October 20 - 24) is Red Ribbon Week. The dress up days are:

• Monday: The SGA will give out Red Ribbons
• Tuesday: "I Elect to be Drug Free Day" wear Red, White, and Blue
• Wednesday: "Join the Fight Against Drugs Day" wear Camo
• Thursday: "Sock it to Drugs Day" wear crazy socks
• Friday: "Be a Patriot, Fight Against Drugs Day" wear your PLA Shirt

Literature Circle 3!

This is a reminder of the books you will need after Fall Break. We are going to the library tomorrow to get all the copies they have.

States Passport!

We have started a great FUN new project that will help us learn all about the 50 states! We will work on this project during Computer Lab, but you can also help with it at home!

• Everyone in the class will receive a passport (with their Picture!) after fall break.
• Each child will have to answer questions about each state, and once a state is complete their passport will be stamped.
• They all got a sheet in a page protector with the questions and and the websites to find the answers today.
• The answers should be written on notebook paper (they don't have to write the questions just the numbered answers), they can use the front for one state and the back for another.
• Everyone in the class needs to have a binder or folder (that you can put paper in) to keep the state information in. ---- **You can get this over the break!**
• The states do not have to be completed in order, and we will try to do about 2 a week.
• Closer to the end of the year, once we have every state finished we will have a Patriotic Party!!

IMPORTANT!!!

Drivers: I need a copy of your Driver's License and Insurance Card to drive on the field trip tomorrow! I can copy it when you get here tomorrow, but you need to bring the cards with you! :) You can't drive on the field trip without it!

No School Monday!

Remember - School is out on Monday for Teacher In-Service.
See you Tuesday! And then we are off on a Field Trip Wednesday!

Grandparent's Day and Field Trip

• Grandparent's Day
• I still need to know if your child will stay or check out Friday. This is for the lunchroom.
• Everyone should wear blue jeans, and a solid white or red shirt for the program.
• The program starts at 9:30 am.

• Field Trip
• I still need $1 from a few students, this will buy our pizza lunch. Also remember, to send your child with 2 drinks and a snack.
• Please remind your children about their manners, this is a very important show and we are very lucky to get to go to the Cultural Arts Center.
• I also may need a couple of drivers, if you can drive and I have not talked to you please sent a note.
